Description:Today, on the 19th anniversary of the tragic Columbine high school shooting, Lutheran North students and faculty conducted a powerful walkout. The optional event, primarily organized and conducted by junior Isaac Glenn, was well-attended and included a recollection of the Columbine event, as well as commentary about school safety and gun legislation. Raevyn Ferguson spoke passionately about the difference each person can make. Alexander Paul shared information about current Missouri laws and offered ways students can contact lawmakers to promote change. The session concluded with the reading of the names of those who perished in the Columbine shooting and a prayer for positive change and safety in the future. We pray this proactive, powerful demonstration will spark change and lead to safer schools for all students.
