Fire barrier joist penetration
6 Feb We are looking for a product to use for where a 24KCS5 open web steel joist roof framing that intersects a 1 hr rated barrier gypsum board wall with /2" metal studs.
The roof is a 1 1/2" metal roof with 5" rigid polyiso insulation. Does the steel joist and the underside of the roof deck need to be rated even.
