For a nation with such a prudish reputation, some of the shows that have made it on to British TV are pretty shocking. What's even more surprising is that some of these programmes are so popular among us "reserved" Brits that they get commissioned for a second and third series. From naked dating to celebrity orgies.

Description:The contestants, who were all naturists, had to take on an assault course, based on the one used in the children's show Jungle Run. Which brings me, in a roundabout sort of way, to Love Island, ITV2's inexplicably popular dating show. If they copulate they will not be paid. After 30 minutes, the contestants can then decide if they want to continue the date. Everyone gets naked and hooks up.
